Agent lifecycle

Start, stop, restart, and check the agent on the host. Prefer these fleet commands over managing the service yourself.

What each command does

sudo fleet start
Starts the agent and keeps it running after reboot.
sudo fleet stop
Stops the agent. It stays stopped until you start it again.
sudo fleet restart
Restarts the agent (e.g. after an upgrade).
fleet status
Shows whether the agent is running on this host.
fleet logs -f
Shows agent logs; -f follows new lines live.
sudo fleet deregister
Stops the agent and removes this host from your workspace.
