Update the agent

Replace the binary on a host that is already registered, then restart the daemon if it is running. No re-register.

Upgrade (recommended)

Re-run the install one-liner to overwrite fleet, then restart so the running process loads the new binary. Local credentials stay put. Services deployed through Fleet keep running — agent restart does not stop them.

  1. Optional: fleet version
  2. Install latest binary
  3. If the agent is running: sudo fleet restart
on the host
curl -fsSL https://fleet-api.byanurag.dev/install.sh | sudo sh
sudo fleet restart
fleet version

Install only

Same command as first-time install. Skip restart if the agent is not running; use sudo fleet start when you are ready.
